Film, TV players to converge on Hong Kong in March

Industry events FILMART, EntertainmentPulse to facilitate deals and partnerships

The Hong Kong International Film and & TV Market (FILMART) and concurrent conference EntertainmentPulse are returning to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) on 17-20 March.

The parallel events, both organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), highlight Hong Kong’s role as a regional distribution and production hub for film, TV programs and entertainment-related products and services.

FILMART is Asia’s largest cross-media entertainment-content trading marketplace, while EntertainmentPulse brings together industry leaders from around the world to discuss the latest trends and opportunities in Asia and beyond.

Key industry players, including producers and investors as well as platform providers and distributors, are expected to attend.

This year’s EntertainmentPulse will look at the boom of video streaming platforms, the evolution of Asian animation, the role of cultural exchange in international collaboration and more.

The conference is part of HKTDC’s Pulse series of events alongside MarketingPulse and eTailingPulse, which are both being held on 19 March at the HKCEC to help facilitate cross-sector deals across entertainment, marketing and e-commerce.

Meanwhile, FILMART and Entertainment Pulse will introduce several new initiatives this year.

An AI hub will encourage industry players to leverage AI to enhance creativity and streamline production.

Another new venture, a joint endeavour with the Hong Kong Film Development Council called Producer Connect, aims to enhance the skills of Hong Kong's young producers via a series of activities, including a panel, fireside chats and workshops.

Meanwhile, FILMART’s FilmART Café will feature student-created artworks inspired by iconic movies to showcase young talent in partnership with the Hong Kong Design Institute.

FILMART and EntertainmentPulse are both part of Entertainment Expo Hong Kong 2025, a series of nine events running in March and April covering film, TV and digital entertainment.

Last year’s FILMART attracted more than 7,500 participants from 50 countries and regions and over 760 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions.
