France has had a long, constructive relationship with Hong Kong. To further strengthen bilateral ties, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) chose Paris as the first destination outside of Asia for its Think Business, Think Hong Kong (TBTHK) campaign, following the end of COVID-19 travel restrictions.
TBTHK is a signature promotion organised by the HKTDC in overseas markets to showcase Hong Kong as an international business and investment hub, where global businesses can capture opportunities worldwide.
Following previous editions in Canada, Germany, Japan the United Kingdom and United States, the upcoming campaign will return to Paris on 19 September . It will comprise a full-day symposium bringing together business leaders from Hong Kong and France to discuss developments and opportunities in Asia, sustainability in business, innovation and technology, design and creativity, and more, amid the ever-changing global business dynamics.
Hong Kong’s role in partnering with French counterparts to capitalise on opportunities arising from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and ASEAN economies will also be examined.
A large Hong Kong business delegation comprising CEOs, investors, innovators, start-ups and professional service providers will meet more than 1,000 French and European companies with an interest in doing business in Asia and share their perspectives about the market potential and areas of collaboration with Hong Kong.
There will be thematic sessions on practical tips of doing business in Asia, smart living and healthcare, green finance and impact investment as well as creativity and design. The Innoventure Salon will showcase innovative solutions and business-facilitated services from Hong Kong.
Companies, start-ups and investors from France and Hong Kong will also be able to hold 1-to-1 business matching meetings to discuss collaboration and partnership opportunities.
