WHAT: The 31st edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair, the most beloved cultural event among Hong Kong’s readers, returns this year. The city’s countless book lovers can’t wait for this festival of the written word. The fair comprises 16 zones, including the new Virtual Classroom and Back to School zones. Returning zones include Buddhist’s Square, Children’s Paradise, Christian’s Square, Collectible Corner, e-Books & e-Learning Resources, English Avenue, General Books Pavilion, International Cultural Village, Mainland China Publishers, Multimedia, Stationery & Cultural Gifts Zone, Spirituality Zone, Taiwan Publishing Community, Teen’s World, and University Press Square.

WHY: Inspirational and Motivational Reading is the theme of this year’s fair which comes along with a vast selection of books that inspire and motivate. A fantastic line up of authors of this popular genre will make an appearance to greet their fans. A series of seminars, workshops and storytelling sessions with celebrities and authors of renown will also be held. Hundreds of thousands of readers attend the Book Fair each year, seeking rare books, the latest works, bestsellers and more. The Book Fair captures the imagination of Hong Kong as each edition is staged with a massive offering of citywide events and activities. The Book Fair coincides with the brand-new HKTDC World of Snacks, the HKTDC Hong Kong Sports & Leisure Expo and the HKTDC Education & Careers Expo.
