The Asian Financial Forum (AFF) is the region’s premier platform that brings together influential leaders from government, finance and business communities globally for ground-breaking discussions and exchange of insights on the global economy from an Asian perspective.
The 17th AFF, running on 24 and 25 January next year, will be the first major international financial conference held in Asia during 2024. Themed Multilateral Cooperation for a shared Tomorrow, the Forum will feature more than 160 speakers and is expected to draw 2,500 participants in person and 4,500 online from over 70 countries and regions.
Keynote speakers will include Prof Jeffrey D Sachs, President of United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network as well as Prof Douglas W Diamond, Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences in 2022 and Merton H Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
As an integral part of the forum, Deal-Making will facilitate one-to-one meetings between fund providers and sources of deals, enabling participants to meet with potential business partners from around the world. The 2024 edition is expected to feature more than 300 project owners and over 400 projects attracting 200 or more investors generating in excess of 600 meetings. Through this platform, previous editions of AFF have arranged over 8,000 meetings for more than 6,300 project owners and investors in various sectors, including fintech, environment, energy and clean tech, food and agriculture, healthcare tech, deep tech, infrastructure and real estate and more.
In addition to the Fintech Showcase, InnoVenture Salon featuring FintechHK Startup Salon and other themed zones present a wide range of financial innovations, advanced solutions and revolutionary business ideas to promote business collaboration and empower entrepreneurs and start-ups.
